The experts at Euro NCAP decided to test the Volkswagen ID.3 according to the latest, stricter criteria. What did the crash tests reveal? See the video.

It is worth noting that the tested German model ID.3 is the first electric car tested according to the revised rules and methodology. The new criteria focus on vehicle speed, obstacle shape and crash point. Euro NCAP experts said that it would be reasonable to test a car traveling at 50 km/h and colliding with half of its front end with a deformed obstacle.

The Volkswagen ID.3 passed the test singingly – it received the highest possible score. It scored 87 points for adult protection, while child safety was rated at 89 points. The ID.3 also scored highly in the category of pedestrian protection and additional assistance systems
