For several years now, Volvo has embraced a strategy to improve child safety when traveling in the brand’s cars. For this reason, Scandinavian engineers have developed some of the most advanced technologies. Do parents always know what is best for their children?

It is not uncommon that improperly installed or ill-fitting car seats are a direct cause of injury to our children. While no parent wants to hurt their child, lack of knowledge can often contribute to this. Parents may not realize that they have installed the car seat incorrectly. According to a Swedish study – only 40% of three-year-olds travel correctly!

Besides, Volvo engineers have been working on the safety of pregnant women since 2001. What is interesting, as one of the first concerns they have included so called “pregnant dummies” in tests. The knowledge gained in this way contributes to creation of solutions increasing safety of pregnant women. As a result, we know that a pregnant woman should always wear a seat belt. However, it is crucial that the belt should not go directly over the belly.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg!
